Police Close Torrent Valley P2P Site

Another week, another major torrent site shut down.

This time around, it’s the users and operators of Torrent Valley who find themselves on the wrong side of the law. Police in Bulgaria, where the site’s servers were located, swooped in, seized servers and closed everything down. Big surprise. Torrent Valley started up in ‘06 and, following the collapse of several other larger torrent sites, became one of the bigger players in peer-to-peer piracy.

Authorities haven’t indicated whether or not administrators or users will face criminal charges.
